Individuals move on and off Medicaid frequently, leading to a common complaint called “churn.” Information about how to handle changes in Medicaid eligibility and address this issue of churn was added to the Reimbursement Models for Medicaid Agencies and MCOs page of the Coverage Toolkit. This new content includes:

• A description of churn and other Medicaid beneficiary status changes that impact an individual’s ability to participate in the National DPP lifestyle change program
• Challenges that may arise due to churn or a status change
• Approaches to lessening the burden of churn and status changes
